Double header at Cleveland's Burke Lakefront Airport brought mixed results to SarWood Racing's points chase June 22-23, 2007 Cleveland, OH - "What an event, Cleveland really does rock! We were truly amazed by the venue and the energy the Cleveland race fans provided," exclaimed Sarian.
The team decided to go conservative in their qualifying efforts so as to save the tires for the race; starts have usually been good and that was no different this weekend. Friday's start took Chris from 22nd to 11th ; Saturday's start, Chris went from the last row starting 25th to being in 9th place after turn one! "We were very pleased with our 12th place finish on Friday and had high hopes for a great finish on Saturday so as to help us get back in the top-ten in the series points," said Chris. Unfortunately, on Saturday, the ABS sensor went out on Chris' front brakes which causes lock-up when touching the brake pedal. We ended up flat-spotting the front tires and having to make a pit-stop to replace a tire so we could finish the race. The team now heads to Quebec, Canada in August for the Grand Prix of Trois-Riviers. SarWood Racing would like to thank the series sponsors for giving us the opportunity to compete. Also, Zamp Helmets, 3R Auto, iValueRich.com, 1st-Trade, LPCS and WrapWorks for being partners in our quest for the championship.
