The SarWood Racing Team has announced its plans to run in the 2007 Pro Miata MX5-Cup Series.

Purpose: The purpose of the MX-5 Cup is to provide an opportunity to compete in similarly prepared low cost cars with limited modifications. It is the entry level of production car-based competition in SCCA Pro Racing.

"We are all very excited about this opportunity and must thank Mazda and the other sponsors for their efforts in making the Series possible", said Chris Sarian. The Team is currently converting a brand new 2006 Mazda Miata to the Series race specs.

The stock, new car, is very much race ready out of the box. Mazda has obviously made several strong performance and handling changes from past models based on feedback from the last few years of SpecMiata racing.
